Dr. (Mrs.) Seinye O.B. Lulu-Briggs

An Information Technology professional, Seinye began her professional life in the financial services industry as a pioneer staff of the Computer Services department of the Central Bank of Nigeria. She later worked in Oceanic Bank Plc, where she became the Head of Administration. Her portfolio in this financial institution included Credit and Marketing as well as ensuring successful multiple branch development.

Mrs. Seinye O.B. Lulu-Briggs, an astute, successful and multi-faceted entrepreneur, is also the Managing Director of Rachael Hotels Limited, an ultra-modern hospitality haven, and Soliyama Limited, an asset leasing and procurement company. She established La Sien Bottling Company, producers of La Sien table water, in Port Harcourt and is the Chairman of the wave making Asia Town Restaurant, among other business concerns.

As Executive Chairman of Moni Pulo Limited, Mrs. Seinye O.B. Lulu-Briggs steers the strategic and daily affairs of a dynamic and visionary player in the upstream sector of the oil and gas industry. Moni Pulo Limited has the distinction of being a fully indigenous upstream player, with four concessions that are in various stages of exploration and development. 

An ardent social entrepreneur, Mrs. Seinye O. B. Lulu-Briggs serves as the Executive Director of the O.B. Lulu-Briggs Foundation, an award winning not for profit organization, through which she has provided substantial financial resources and time to developing the capacity and enhancing the impact of innumerable micro and medium sized enterprises.  Through its various programme areas, the Foundation has in its almost a decade and a half existence, been committed to assisting the elderly, the infirm and needy who dwell mainly in the rural areas of the Niger Delta region of Nigeria, through free medical programs, free de-worming exercises for school age children and access to clean water programs, empowerment schemes and training programmes, among other life enhancing interventions.

On the strength of her entrepreneurial success as well as the work she has done through the O.B. Lulu-Briggs Foundation, Mrs. Seinye O.B. Lulu-Briggs is a sought-after public speaker and has addressed national and regional gatherings on social welfare and entrepreneurship. Such esteemed gatherings include the West African Regional Conference of the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) held in Cameroun, national FIDA conferences held in Nigeria, the Eastern Bar Forum of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), the national conference of the NBA and the Anti- Electoral Violence Sensitization Workshop organized by Zone 6 Command of the Nigerian Police Force. Furthermore, through her Foundation, Mrs. Seinye O.B. Lulu-Briggs is also sponsoring a Bill supporting the Rights of the Elderly and Infirm in the Rivers State House of Assembly.

Ever concerned about the need for children to grow up in a positive, enabling environment, Mrs. Lulu-Briggs funded the building of a Children’s Park in the University of Port Harcourt. This much need space has provided children who live or attend school within the university premises and its immediate environs, with a modern, safe, well maintained and functional safe space where they can relax and play.

On the back of her increasingly ground breaking exploits as an African female entrepreneur, Mrs. Seinye O. B. Lulu-Briggs was named one of the Top 20 Women of Influence in Africa and given the coveted Global Inspirational Leader Award from the Centre for Economic and Leadership Development (CELD). She has received a Resolution from the Caucus of Legislators from the state of Georgia, United States of America, acknowledging her wide ranging accomplishments as an entrepreneur of note, a leader in God’s vineyard and an epitome of the work/life balance, considering her ability to build a large and happy family alongside her prolific business interests. She also received a D.Sc. Science (Honoris Causa) degree, from the reputable University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

A servant of God Almighty with a passion for teaching the undiluted word of God and extending love to her fellow man, Seinye serves as pastor to the non-denominational Chapel of God International Worship Centre. Mrs. Seinye O.B. Lulu-Briggs is a Paul Harris fellow and a member and official of the prestigious Institute of Directors (IoD).

She was blissfully married to Late High Chief (Dr.) O.B. Lulu-Briggs, OON-himself a national icon- and they are blessed with a loving and nurturing family.
