Mrs Nwando S. Chukwurah FIoD, CIWFM

Mrs. Nwando Chukwurah is a seasoned professional with a dedicated service of over 20 years in Facilities Management and Sustainable practices. She is a Certified member of the Institute of Workplace and Facility Management (IWFM) United Kingdom. She currently serves as the Vice-Chair of the IWFM Nigeria Region.

She holds the position of MD/CEO, Total Facilities Management Limited. A company she grew with her team from inception to become a brand with a competitive edge in the FM industry. She has continued to drive the business concern through strategic propositions, innovative models, and attractive value offerings.


She graduated from the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus with a B.Sc. in Estate Management, she holds a Post Graduate Degree in Project Management and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from the Federal University of Technology Owerri, Imo State. She has attended various trainings and workshops including The CEIBS's Strategic Management & Innovation For Sustainable Business Growth Programme,  The Institute of Directors' Independent Directors' Masterclass Programme, The IoD Center for Corporate Governance's Workshop on the Intersection between Corporate Governance and Effective Human Resources Management. She has also attended several conferences and workshops in and outside the country at the Lagos Business School (LBS), China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), Institute of Workplace & Facilities Mgt.(IWFM) UK, London School of Business and Finance, Institute of Facilities Management (IFMA) in Houston, Philadelphia, Corolado amongst others.  


She was a pioneer member of the Institute of Directors Abuja Branch in 2008, and she has since continued to be an active member. She served in the Abuja Branch's Executive Committee as the Associate Secretary (2009–2010), Honorable Treasurer (2011–2012) and appointed member of the programs and membership committees of the IoD Abuja Zone at various tenures. She has promoted the objectives of the institute through active participation in the institute's programs and also supported with funding where needed. In December 2018, Mrs Chukwurah was appointed as a Fellow of the Institute of Directors Nigeria and in 2020 she was elected as a member of the Governing Council.


Her interests are in the areas of Corporate Governance, Workplace Management & Wellness, Waste Recycling and Sustainability. Her hobbies include reading and travelling.  She is a philanthropist with a large heart. Her foundation 'The TFML Widow's Empowerment Scheme' empowers widows, the less privileged, and mentors’ young leaders. She is happily married with children.


Mrs Nwando Chukwurah has been re-nominated for the 2022 Governing Council elections of IoD Nigeria.
